Ssoftoons began as a dream in a small room in Howrah — a dream to make animation in regional languages that truly connected with people. It was 2001, and animated content in India was either dubbed or imported. That’s when Sourav Mondal and Hansa Dangaich Mondal, two passionate creators, decided to change the game.
Their idea was simple but powerful: make original Indian stories, rooted in local culture, in a style that kids and families could enjoy and understand. From there, Ssoftoons was born — and so were iconic characters like Gopal Bhar, Lullu, Batul the Great, Nonte Fonte, Thakumar Jhuli, and many more.
Over two decades, we’ve grown from burning CDs to streaming on YouTube, Facebook, and soon our own app and OTT platforms. With over 1,000+ characters created and 50,000+ minutes of animation, we continue to make people laugh, learn, and fall in love with storytelling.
